Raising children is a great privilege and even greater responsibility. At Hillcrest, we want to partner with parents to help kids develop a faith in Jesus Christ and to grow in relationship with Him that will stay with them their whole lives.

Hillcrest Student Ministry

7th – 12th Grade

The Hillcrest Student Ministry is an active part of the Hillcrest Church Family. As a community of students grades 7^th – 12^th who strive to honor and glorify God as we learn how to grow in our walk with the LORD. We gather on Sundays at 9:15 for small group, and on Wednesdays at 6:30 for our Student Nights.

College & Career

The College & Career Ministry of Hillcrest is an exciting place for college age men and women to gather and grow in their personal walk with Jesus Christ. Our desire is to equip believers so that they can apply biblical principles to their everyday lives while developing close friendships with people at the same stage in life. Through numerous events, programs, and activities, we desire to reach the college and career adults of Jacksonville with the gospel of Jesus Christ, prepare men and women to face the challenges of our society, and connect them to one another.

Small Groups

We are not a church with small groups. We are a church of small groups. Small Groups are intentional gatherings that meet regularly with individuals who agree to be part of each other’s lives by consistently fellowshipping, studying the Bible, and serving together.

Creative Arts

Our Creative Arts Ministry strives to provide an atmosphere in which the church can experience the presence, power, and love of Jesus each time we meet. Each Sunday, a wonderful group of singers, musicians, and technical crew gather to lead Hillcrest Baptist Church in dynamic times of worship. We love to utilize people who have a true heart of worship and who desire to use their talents and abilities to bring glory and honor to God.

Our Creative Arts Ministry also utilizes drama and video in our times of worship through monthly skits, announcement videos, and special dramas during our Christmas and Easter events. We are always looking for individuals who want to use their skills in drama for the Lord!

Missions

The Missions Ministry exists to equip and encourage our church family to share the gospel and serve people – whether it’s through international mission trips, national mission trips or our local community ministries. The goal of the Missions Ministry is for everyone attending Hillcrest to have a global vision as well as a vision for reaching people right here in our own city. The need is great and we can all do our part. We can all PRAY, we can all GIVE, and we can all GO – whether it’s across the street or across the globe!

The Bible teaches that all the church – not just select individuals, but all the church is created to reflect the glory of God to all the world. The Great Commission commands us all to go into all the world and share the good news of Jesus Christ with all peoples.

Women’s Ministry

Our Women’s Ministry exists to equip women to reach, teach and nurture the women of our church and community so each woman will come to faith, Christian maturity, and service through interaction with God, His Word, and one another.

There is a wonderful verse in Romans 1:12 that illustrates our desire:

“That is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.”
