Hillcrest Student Ministry
7th – 12th Grade
Who are we?
The Hillcrest Student Ministry is an active part of the Hillcrest Church Family. As a community of students grades 7th – 12th who strive to honor and glorify God as we learn how to grow in our walk with the LORD. We gather on Sundays at 9:15 for small group, and on Wednesdays at 6:30 for our Student Nights.
What to expect at Hillcrest Student Ministry gathering?
Students that attend can expect three things: 1) They can expect to hear the Gospel each week. Everything we do is grounded in the good news of Jesus Christ. 2) Students will be encouraged to dig into God’s Word and use its truth to shape their lives. 3) They will be surrounded by students and leaders who seek to encourage, disciple, and care for one another as we do the Christian walk together.
What do you study?
On Sunday morning we utilize the Gospel project. The Gospel Project will take a student completely through the Bible over the course of 3 years. So, students will have the opportunity to go completely through the Bible during their time in the Hillcrest Student Ministry.
On Wednesday nights we walk through different series that are applicable to student life. They may be a Biblical book study, a topical study, or a stand-alone message. However, each will be grounded in Scriptural truth, and not opinion. God’s Word stands as the authority over all teaching within Hillcrest Student Ministry. Students and parents will be notified in advance on upcoming series through the monthly parent email.
What kind of activities do we do?
Students will have various kinds of opportunities and activities over the course of their time in the Hillcrest Student Ministry. We will have mission opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally (High Schoolers). Students who attend are welcome to join us for our summer student camp. In addition to camp and missions, students will have countless opportunities to hang out and fellowship throughout the year.
